“Silo Falls Restaurant Manager Charged with Credit Card Fraud in Maryland”
A restaurant manager has been arrested after allegedly using a customer’s credit card without permission while employed at Silo Falls Restaurant in Brookeville, police report.
The suspect, 30-year-old Brooke Chamber from Rockville, is accused of fraudulently charging a customer’s credit card after the victim accidentally left it behind at the restaurant in July 2024. Just days later, the victim received a notification from their bank regarding several unauthorized charges.
According to police, Chamber used the stolen credit card to pay her ex-boyfriend’s WSSC bills. Two charges were made on the victim’s account, totaling $751.69 and $251.69. After an investigation, it was confirmed that Chamber was responsible for the fraudulent transactions. She has been charged with theft and credit card fraud.
Authorities are urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim of similar fraud to contact Montgomery County police.
