Michele Patsos, the wife of longtime college basketball coach Jimmy Patsos, has tragically passed away at the age of 47. Her family announced her death in an obituary on Friday.

Michele was known for her deep love of sports, particularly college basketball and horse racing. She was a devoted supporter of her husband’s career, cheering him on as his “number one fan” throughout his coaching journey at Loyola Maryland, Siena College, and beyond. Whether in the stands or watching from home, her passion for the game was infectious, and she cherished sharing those moments with others.

Jimmy Patsos, 58, was a longtime assistant coach at the University of Maryland, where he helped lead the Terps to a national championship in 2002 under Gary Williams. May she always rest in peace.” Another fan added, “Everyone please keep the family in your prayers.”
