DC Violence: Five Indicted for Murders and Non-Fatal Shooting
Dionzai Parker, 21, also known as “Moneybag Jefe,” was arrested yesterday morning by the U.S. Marshals Service on a bench warrant after a grand jury issued a third superseding indictment charging him with conspiracy and first-degree murder while armed in connection with the February 25, 2023, homicide of Brice Djembissi. The arrest was announced by U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves.
Parker is one of five men from Washington, D.C. and Maryland facing charges related to multiple homicides. The other defendants—Derrico Johnson, 20, Ronald Henderson, 19, Daveon Robinson, 18, and Demarco Robinson, 20—were arraigned earlier on the same indictment, which ties them to three murders: the April 12, 2022, killing of Clayton Marshall, the May 26, 2022, murder of Justin Johnson, and the February 25, 2023, murder of Brice Djembissi. The indictment also includes charges for a drive-by shooting at Alabama Convenience Store that injured two bystanders.
The 33-count indictment includes several charges for each defendant:
- Derrico Johnson faces two counts of first-degree murder while armed and three counts of assault with intent to kill, connected to the murders of Clayton Marshall and Justin Johnson.
- Ronald Henderson is charged with one count of first-degree murder while armed and four counts of assault with intent to kill in connection with the Justin Johnson murder and the January 2, 2023, drive-by shooting at Alabama Convenience Store.
- Daveon Robinson is charged with two counts of assault with intent to kill while armed for the Alabama Convenience Store shooting.
- Dionzai Parker faces one count of first-degree murder while armed and two counts of assault with intent to kill for the February 25, 2023, murder of Brice Djembissi.
The indictment states that the five defendants are members of a group called the “Get Back Gang,” which operates in the Henson Ridge neighborhood (also known as “the Z”) and is part of a broader network of violent activity in D.C. linked to the “Fox 5 Gang.” Over recent years, they have been involved in multiple homicides and non-fatal shootings, including the following incidents:
- On April 12, 2022, Derrico Johnson, after being dropped off in a stolen vehicle near Shipley Market, fired several rounds, killing Clayton Marshall and injuring another individual.
- On May 26, 2022, Johnson, Henderson, and others shot and killed 16-year-old Justin Johnson, who had posted his location on social media earlier that day, while he was near an infant. He later died from his injuries.
- On January 2, 2023, Henderson and Robinson, along with Parker, were involved in a drive-by shooting at Alabama Convenience Store, injuring two bystanders. Henderson and Robinson were arrested shortly after the shooting, while Parker and the driver fled the scene.
- On February 25, 2023, Parker and two others, in a stolen Jeep, fired 70 rounds at Shipley Market, killing Brice Djembissi and injuring two bystanders. Djembissi, a teacher and part-time Uber driver, succumbed to his injuries on March 3, 2023.
This case is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Sellinger.
