Stolen Vehicle Stop in NE D.C. Yields Loaded Firearm, Three Arrested

Three individuals were taken into custody after Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers stopped a stolen vehicle during a routine patrol in northeast Washington, D.C.

According to MPD, the incident occurred in the 2800 block of New York Avenue, NE, when officers from the Robbery Suppression Unit (RSU) identified and stopped the stolen vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a semi-automatic firearm loaded with 50 rounds of ammunition.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the suspects or further details regarding the arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
