Fatal I-495 Accident: Driver Killed in Crash with Parked Truck
A deadly crash occurred early Friday morning on northbound Interstate 495 near the Anacostia Freeway, leaving one driver dead.
Around 3:45 a.m., Maryland State Police responded to the scene, where they found that the driver of a Jeep Compass had veered off the highway and struck the rear of a tractor-trailer parked on the left shoulder. Tragically, the driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash led to delays on northbound I-495 as authorities worked to clear the area. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
