19-Year-Old Fatally Shot in D.C. Apartment: Police Launch Homicide Probe
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has launched a homicide investigation after a 19-year-old man was found fatally shot in a Southwest Washington, D.C., apartment Wednesday evening.
On December 4, shortly after 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting at an apartment building in the 200 block of I Street SW.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Nadir McCoy, 19, of Northwest D.C., inside the apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. McCoy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or submit an anonymous tip via text to 50411.
MPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
