D.C. Police Seek Help Identifying Person of Interest in Fatal Denny’s Shooting
The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying a person of interest connected to a fatal shooting inside a Denny’s restaurant in Northeast Washington, D.C. Surveillance images of the individual were released on Thursday.
The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. at the Denny’s located in the 1200 block of Bladensburg Road NE. Officers responding to the scene found 18-year-old Jeremiah Law with gunshot wounds. Law was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are still investigating the circumstances leading to the shooting and are working to locate the individual responsible.
Police urge anyone who recognizes the person in the released surveillance images or has information about the case to contact the department at 202-727-9099 or submit an anonymous tip via text to 50411.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that results in an arrest and conviction in this case.
