Fraudulent Charges Lead to Arrest of Maryland Restaurant Manager
A restaurant manager has been charged with fraud after using a customer’s credit card without authorization while employed at Silo Falls Restaurant in Brookeville, according to police. The accused, 30-year-old Brooke Chamber of Rockville, allegedly made fraudulent purchases on a credit card left behind by a customer in July 2024.
Police say the victim realized their credit card was missing after receiving notifications of several unauthorized charges. It was later revealed that Chamber used the card to pay her ex-boyfriend’s WSSC bills, making two unauthorized transactions totaling $751.69 and $251.69.
The charges against Chamber include theft and credit card fraud. Authorities are urging anyone who believes they may have been affected to contact Montgomery County police.
